Mr. Harris was born in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, Mr. Harris went to Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi. While at Tougaloo College Mr. Harris was a Member – Who’s Who Among American College and University Students; Member-Dean’s List; and President (Polemarch) of the Gamma Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Prior to graduation, Mr. Harris served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. Mr. Harris served on active-duty for three years in the United States Army Military Intelligence Command. His duties included translating both spoken and written Chinese into English. After Mr. Harris was honorably discharged from the United States Army, he returned to college at Tennessee State University where he completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.
After leaving Tennessee State University, Mr. Harris went on to Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. While at Howard University, Mr. Harris was one of the student founders of the Howard Law Entrepreneurship & Economic Liberty Association.Mr. Harris began his career at the Office of the Cook County State’s Attorney / Criminal Prosecutions Bureau. On May 1, 2000, Mr. Harris left his position as a prosecutor in the Fifth Municipal District of the Cook County Circuit Court to form Harris, Mitchell & Dinizulu, LLC.
